Dick Cepek Rims on truck?

I have a 16″ rims with 16″tires that i was told will work ony my truck (1980 chevy k20 4×4). It has 16″ tires on it now. I tried tonight and could not get the rims to get onto the stud bolts? I'm pretty sure its a DC-1 Series rims from Dick Cepek was it me or the rim? Does anybody know?
